HB 2005 seeks to impose salary limitations on state and local government employees. The bill stipulates that the salary of any state officer or employee, as well as employees of political subdivisions such as counties, municipalities, and school districts, cannot exceed 150% of the governor's salary as set by the biennial General Appropriations Act. The bill applies to salary agreements or employment contracts entered into on or after September 1, 2025.
