HB 2270 amends the Texas Transportation Code to regulate the disclosure of information related to railroad collisions and violations involving train operators. The bill prohibits the inclusion of a train operator's driver's license number in reports of collisions or violations and prevents such incidents from being recorded on the operator’s individual driving record maintained by the Department of Public Safety. Additionally, it restricts the disclosure of personally identifying information and communications of train crews involved in such incidents, allowing access only to law enforcement, regulatory agencies, the employing railroad company, or individuals authorized by court order.
