HB 2482 prohibits the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department from establishing or maintaining chronic wasting disease (CWD) containment or surveillance zones. The bill eliminates existing CWD zones and prevents the state from regulating hunting, game transport, or land use based on the detection or likelihood of CWD presence.
