HB 3467 requires sellers of real property that contains or is adjacent to state water to provide buyers with a written notice regarding the permit requirements for the storage, taking, or diversion of state water. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) must develop a standardized notice that outlines the permit process for appropriating state water. The notice must be adopted by December 31, 2025, and the new disclosure requirement applies to property sales contracts executed on or after January 1, 2026.
