HB 4394 grants county attorneys concurrent jurisdiction with the Texas Attorney General to prosecute price gouging violations under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act during a declared disaster. It also removes the requirement for county attorneys to obtain permission from the Consumer Protection Division to pursue such cases.
