HB 4459 requires Medicaid managed care organizations to provide trauma-informed healthcare services to victims of family violence. Managed care providers must establish partnerships with family violence service providers, conduct screenings for signs of abuse, and offer specialized counseling and support services. The Texas Health and Human Services Commission will audit providers annually to assess their compliance and effectiveness in delivering these services​.
