HB 4925 establishes a Statewide Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Plan for Texas deer populations. It directs the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine to evaluate the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's past management of CWD, compare it to national standards and other states' policies, and create an updated plan. The new plan will be monitored for effectiveness, with mandatory reports to the legislature and the Texas Sunset Commission​.
