HB 4933 revises procedures for returning seized weapons when no charges or convictions occur. If a weapon is seized and no prosecution follows, the magistrate must notify the owner within 60 days. The owner has 60 days from notification to reclaim the weapon, after which it may be destroyed, sold, or forfeited to a law enforcement agency.
