HB 5164 establishes a paid parental leave program for employees of businesses with 50 or more workers. Eligible employees who have worked full-time for at least 12 months can take up to 60 days of paid leave for childbirth, adoption, or foster care placement. Employers may cover costs directly or maintain insurance for this benefit. Employers cannot take adverse employment actions against workers using this leave.
