HB 5472 authorizes the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to transfer certain state-owned real property to the Bexar County Board of Trustees for Mental Health Mental Retardation Services (The Center for Health Care Services). The transfer agreement mandates that the property must be used for community-based mental health or intellectual disability services. If the center fails to use the property for this purpose for more than 365 consecutive days, ownership reverts to HHSC.
