HB 735 requires clear labeling of meat, poultry, and shrimp sold in Texas to indicate whether the product originated in the state. The Health and Human Services Commission will adopt rules to implement this labeling requirement. The law is intended to enhance consumer awareness and transparency and will take effect September 1, 2025.
