SB 1070 shortens the timeframe for voter registration applications to become effective. It reduces the waiting period from 30 days to 15 days after submission before a voter registration becomes active. The bill also modifies deadlines for processing registration changes and delivering voter registration certificates. These changes apply only to applications submitted on or after September 1, 2025.
