Digest
SB 1111 expands the list of taxes included in the Texas Comptroller’s biennial report to the legislature and governor. The bill requires the Comptroller to assess and report on tax exemptions, discounts, exclusions, special valuations, and special reporting treatments related to severance taxes, motor vehicle taxes, school district property taxes, and any other tax generating more than five percent of state revenue in the prior fiscal year. The expanded reporting aims to provide legislators with a more comprehensive analysis of the financial impact of tax incentives and exemptions.
