SB 1240 allows breweries and brewpubs operating under the same ownership or management to transfer malt beverages between their licensed premises. Breweries may transport malt beverages to different locations, including those under an alternating brewery proprietorship or contract brewing arrangement, provided they comply with transportation and vehicle marking requirements set by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Brewpubs operating multiple locations can also transfer malt beverages between locations, subject to similar regulations. The bill ensures that transferred malt beverages are considered brewed at the receiving location for regulatory purposes.
