SB 1264 mandates that local air pollution control programs be notified of excessive emissions events in their jurisdiction and be given at least 30 days to provide input on a facility’s corrective action plan. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) must consider this input before approving or rejecting a corrective plan. Additionally, comments provided by local governments during this process will not be subject to public disclosure.
