SB 1918 creates the Relative and Kinship Care Grant Program, which provides grants to nonprofit organizations that offer legal assistance to relative or kinship caregivers of children. Eligible caregivers must have incomes at or below 400% of the federal poverty level. Grants can cover legal services related to guardianship, parental consent, custody, and adoption​.
