SB 1791 limits the admissibility of certain statements and evidence in child welfare cases filed by the state. It bars the use of statements made by individuals undergoing substance abuse or mental health treatment against them in court, restricts the use of uncorroborated out-of-court abuse allegations, and prohibits compelling alleged perpetrators to testify in child protection cases​.
