SB 2158 increases the tax rates on vinous liquor. The bill raises the alcohol percentage threshold for taxation, imposing a 20.4 cents per gallon tax on wine containing up to 16% alcohol (previously 14%) and a 40.8 cents per gallon tax on wine containing more than 16% alcohol.
