Digest
SB 2384 creates five Regional Administrative Judicial Districts and corresponding regional district attorney offices across Texas. It restructures the judicial system by consolidating prosecutorial functions across multiple counties within each district. Regional district attorneys will have the same powers and duties as county-level district attorneys, but with jurisdiction spanning multiple counties. They will be elected by voters in their respective districts and will have the authority to transfer cases and request venue changes within their district.
