SB 2634 authorizes the interconnection of electric vehicles to the ERCOT power grid. It allows electric vehicle owners to connect their vehicles to the electricity distribution system and establishes technical and safety standards for interconnection. The bill also permits the Public Utility Commission to create a program enabling electric vehicle owners to sell stored electricity back to the grid, with compensation credited to the vehicle owner​.
