SB 2745 provides a cost-of-living increase for death benefits paid to spouses of first responders killed in the line of duty under the workers’ compensation system. Beginning January 1, 2026, the benefits will increase annually by 3%. Insurance carriers must adjust payment amounts accordingly at the start of each calendar year​.
