SB 2936 establishes an Office of Food System Security and Resiliency within the Texas Department of Agriculture. This office will coordinate efforts to ensure food security, promote local food production and distribution, and support regional planning. It will also manage the Texas Food System Security and Resiliency Planning Council​.
