SB 970 amends the Texas Utilities Code to prioritize awarding grants and loans from the Texas Energy Fund to electric generating facilities with a generation capacity of at least 750 megawatts. The Public Utility Commission will implement this prioritization for applications submitted on or after the bill’s effective date.
