SJR 7 proposes a constitutional amendment to authorize a statewide referendum allowing voters to decide whether Texas should observe either standard time or daylight saving time year-round. The legislature would be empowered to enact a law implementing the voters' preference. The amendment would also validate a referendum held concurrently with the election on the constitutional amendment.
