HB 10 creates an affirmative defense to prosecution for individuals charged with certain offenses if they were victims of human trafficking or compelling prostitution and committed the conduct as a direct result of force, fraud, or coercion. It sets evidentiary standards for proving the defense and exempts certain serious offenses unless the defendant is only charged as a party to the crime.
