HB 130 directs DPS to enter an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to perform DNA tests (including rapid DNA) on individuals suspected of human trafficking who are detained after illegally entering Texas. Samples must be destroyed after testing, and results cannot be used in state DNA databases or CODIS.
