HB 170 prohibits discrimination in places of public accommodation on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or military veteran status. It creates an enforcement process through the Texas Workforce Commission, authorizes civil penalties, and allows complainants to file suit for damages and attorney fees.
