Relating to prohibiting the sale, delivery, or purchase of a consumable hemp product to or by a person younger than 21 years of age, the entry onto the premises of a retailer of consumable hemp products by a person younger than 21 years of age, and the employment by a retailer of consumable hemp products of a person younger than 21 years of age; creating criminal offenses.

HB 36 prohibits the sale, delivery, or purchase of consumable hemp products to or by anyone under 21, bars minors from entering hemp retail premises, and restricts employment at such retailers to those 21 or older (with a narrow family business exception). It creates new criminal offenses for underage sale, purchase, or attempted purchase, with escalating penalties, community service, and driver’s license suspensions for repeat offenders.
