SB 37 requires the State Board of Education to include instruction on fetal development in grades 7–8 health curriculum. The content must be age-appropriate, medically accurate, and cover human reproduction, pregnancy, birth defects, and trimester-specific fetal development. Local school health advisory councils must also address fetal development instruction in their recommendations.
