Biography
Rep. Briscoe Cain is a lifelong resident of Harris County, Texas. Named after his ancestor Andrew Briscoe — a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence — Rep. Cain was raised in Deer Park, the son of a refinery operator. He graduated from Deer Park High School, attended San Jacinto College, and earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston–Downtown, followed by a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law.

Rep. Cain owns and operates the Law Office of Briscoe Cain, PLLC, and serves as a Captain in the Texas State Guard. He has been a delegate to six Texas GOP conventions dating back to 2010, and in 2020 he served as a presidential elector.
Rep. Cain and his wife Bergundi have five sons and reside in Deer Park. The Cains are members of Faith Family Church in Baytown, where Bergundi serves on the worship team.
