HB 111 strengthens civil immunity protections for individuals who use or threaten to use force or deadly force and are later found to have acted justifiably under the Penal Code. It establishes a presumption of justification if the individual is not indicted, acquitted, or has charges dismissed, and allows recovery of attorney’s fees and related costs.
