HB 69 requires that physicians be physically present in Texas and conduct in-person examinations before prescribing abortion-inducing drugs. It amends both the Health and Safety Code and the Occupations Code to close perceived loopholes allowing out-of-state providers to prescribe such drugs via telemedicine.
