HB 87 prohibits school districts from spending public funds on hiring or joining organizations that employ registered lobbyists. It also bars district employees from using public resources to directly lobby members of the legislature. Taxpayers and residents may seek injunctive relief and recover attorney’s fees if they prevail in court against violators.
