HB 1005 amends the election canvassing process by making it mandatory for canvassing authorities to compare precinct returns with corresponding tally lists and resolve any discrepancies. The presiding judge of the precinct must make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy in election results. The act takes effect on September 1, 2025.
