HB 1034 requires certain elected officials to disclose detailed information about state-funded out-of-state travel, including costs, dates, and purposes. The Texas Ethics Commission will review the disclosures to determine if the travel was for official business. If not, the official must reimburse the state for travel costs plus interest.
