HB 1040 is known as Joshua's Act, amends the Penal Code to include certain facilities serving individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities among the locations where carrying firearms or other prohibited weapons is restricted. It specifies additional types of facilities and sets penalties for violations. Exceptions are provided for licensed handgun carriers under specific conditions.
