HB 1161 revises the Health and Safety Code to address advance directives and do-not-resuscitate (DNR) orders for pregnant women. It provides that women of childbearing age can specify in their advance directives how pregnancy impacts their end-of-life care decisions. It also amends the language in DNR orders to include provisions for specifying the effect of pregnancy on those orders.
