HB 1313 prohibits school districts and their employees from using public funds to hire lobbyists or to pay organizations that employ lobbyists to influence legislation. It also forbids school district employees from using district resources to directly lobby members of the legislative branch. Taxpayers or residents can seek injunctive relief to prevent prohibited lobbying activities and recover legal costs if they prevail in such actions.
