HB 1336 prohibits school districts from deducting or withholding membership dues or fees for labor organizations or similar entities, including trade unions or professional organizations, from the wages of classroom teachers. It restricts school districts from contracting for such deductions as well. Teachers may still pay these dues independently but not through payroll deductions.
