HB 1361 mandates the distribution of funds collected for the Low-Income Vehicle Repair Assistance, Retrofit, and Accelerated Vehicle Retirement Program to counties that participated in the program before September 1, 2025. These funds must be allocated in proportion to the fees collected from these counties, and they are to be used exclusively for programs authorized under Section 382.220(b) of the Health and Safety Code. The act expires on September 1, 2029.
