HB 1369 protects the confidentiality of residential eviction case information under certain circumstances. If a defendant prevails in an eviction case, the case is dismissed without relief granted to the plaintiff, or the eviction is related to foreclosure without tenant default, the court must issue a confidentiality order. Violations of these confidentiality provisions carry penalties, and the Texas Supreme Court is directed to adopt implementation rules by January 1, 2026.
