HB 1408 expands access to workforce training programs funded by the skills development fund by allowing community-based organizations to apply for funding independently if unable to form a partnership with a technical college or the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. It requires such organizations to provide evidence of appropriate certifications or licenses when seeking funding.
