HB 169 proposes the establishment of a communications office within the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office. This communications office will focus on marketing Texas as a destination for business and tourism, both domestically and internationally. Its responsibilities include creating and disseminating information on Texas laws and programs relevant to doing business, tourism, and immigration, and promoting awareness of applicable state and federal laws.
