HB 1726 expands who may request a public hearing regarding the construction of a concrete plant from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). It increases the radius for eligible residents from 440 yards to 880 yards and includes representatives from schools, places of worship, day-care centers, hospitals, and medical facilities. Rules defining eligible representatives must be adopted by TCEQ.
