Digest
HB 1755 amends the Family Code to require courts during protective order hearings to inform applicants about location restrictions that may be imposed on individuals found to have committed family violence. Courts must inquire whether the applicant wants such restrictions included in the order and consider the applicant's wishes when deciding. These provisions apply to hearings held on or after the effective date, September 1, 2025.
