HB 1759 expands the responsibilities of school counselors, requiring them to address students' academic, career, personal, social, and emotional development. Counselors must also participate in planning and evaluating comprehensive developmental school counseling programs, with particular emphasis on at-risk students and those with special needs. The act applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year
