HB 1767 requires taxing units in counties with populations under one million to publish a summary of certain ad valorem tax-related information in a newspaper of general circulation. The summary must include a link to the detailed information available on the taxing unit’s website. The publication deadline is August 7 or as soon as practicable thereafter. The act takes effect on January 1, 2026, and applies to ad valorem tax years beginning on or after that date.
