HB 1883 mandates the development of a plan under the state employees' group benefits program to provide coverage for any healthcare or treatment deemed medically necessary by a participant’s treating physician or healthcare provider. The board of trustees is permitted to adopt rules for implementing this coverage, which will apply to plan years starting January 1, 2026.
