HB 1913, also known as "Brooke’s Boundary," prohibits registered sex offenders from coming within 2,500 feet of the residence of any victim of the offender's crime. Exceptions are made if the victim moves to a location within 2,500 feet of the offender’s residence. The bill applies to all individuals required to register as sex offenders under Texas law, regardless of when the offense occurred.
