HB 1924 establishes a restriction preventing former county or municipal officers or employees from accepting employment with any entity they were involved with in contract negotiations or procurement on behalf of the county or municipality. This prohibition lasts for two years following the signing of the contract or the termination or withdrawal of the procurement process. Exceptions may be granted by the governing body of the county or municipality on a case-by-case basis through a formal waiver application process. The act applies to individuals whose service or employment ends on or after September 1, 2025.
